Bill Title:
Relating to developmental disabilities services; prescribing an effective date.
Catchline/Summary:
Directs the Department of Human Services to collaborate with the Department of Education to increase opportunities for individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities to obtain and advance in competitive integrated employment. Digest: The Act tells ODHS and ODE to make certain changes to implement a policy of employment first. (Flesch Readability Score: 65.1).

Requires the Department of Education to ensure that transition services for students with intellectual or developmental disabilities do not occur in sheltered or mock sheltered work settings.
Takes effect on the 91st day following adjournment sine die.
